"Tiger Zinda Hai is to do with how Indian intelligence works. It is an action thriller set in a political background," said Ali Abbas Zafar at IFFI, Goa. Ali Abbas Zafar is basking in the glory of the superlative success of Sultan and shall be helping the sequel of the blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan. The sequel will also star the original team of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Elaborating further, Ali Abbas Zafar said, "It's a genre I've not dealt with before. It deals with espionage; the idea is to do a thrilling story which is based on reality." The shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai will start in the first quarter of 2017 and it will release on December 22, 2017.
