Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah makers hunt for Tapu ends; Nitish Bhaluni to enter the SAB TV show : Bollywood News

In recent years, Sab TV’s popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been constantly in the headlines; majorly when an artist decided to part ways and quit the show. Well, this time, there is good news for the audience and fans of the show, as the makers have finally found a replacement for Raj Anadkat, who essayed the character of Tapu from 2017 to 2022. The makers have finalised Nitish Bhaluni for the part.

According to a report by Times of India, Nitish has commenced the shoot and will soon be introduced on the show as the new Tapu, Jethalal’s (Dilip Joshi) son. For the unversed, Nitish was earlier seen in Meri Doli Mere Angna. The channel is yet to share a fresh promo confirming the same.

As mentioned above, earlier, Raj was playing the character of Tapu. He replaced Bhavya Gandhi in 2017. Though the makers and the actor remained tight-lipped on the reason behind his sudden exit, Raj had written a note to his fans on social media, where he wrote, “Hello everyone, it’s time to lay all questions and speculation to rest. My association with Neela Film Productions and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has officially ended. It has been a wonderful journey of learning, making friends, and having some of the best years of my career.”

Speaking of the show, last year, Neha Mehta (Anjali Taarak Mehta) and Shailesh Lodha (Taarak Mehta) also quit the show. Besides them, the director of the show Malav Rajda, who helmed the show for 14 years, also announced his exit from the show. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Malav had said that he took the decision to get out of his “comfort zone” and “grow creatively.” Created by Asit Kumarr Modi and based on the column Duniya Ne Undha Chashmah by Taarak Mehta started back in 2008.
