Ganesh Acharya unveils his experience choreographing Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi for the song ‘Main Khiladi’ from Selfiee : Bollywood News

A type of craze has emerged on social media around the remake of the song Main Khiladi Tu Anari, which appears in the upcoming movie Selfiee starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi. Ganesh Acharya choreographed the song, which also stars Akshay, Emraan, and the movie's starring women Diana Penty and Nushratt Bharuccha.

Recollecting the memories from the original song featuring Akshay and Saif Ali Khan's 1994 hit, ETimes quoted Ganesh Acharya saying, “The original song was choreographed by Chinni Prakash. I have learned by observing and getting inspired by Chinni ji’s songs and choreography. So, that’s what I have applied in recreating the song. We completed this song in three days.”

For the first time, Acharya choreographed Emraan Hashmi and Diana Penty for this dance performance. He said, “It was great fun. We have kept the iconic step of Akshay’s from the original in this song as well – right in the end." Revealing about Emraan's dancing skills, Acharya said, "Emraan rehearsed for the song for 8-10 days. It is such a huge dance number with a big set and all, but he did it with a lot of confidence.”

Talking about Akshay Kumar, Acharya said, "It is difficult to match his energy levels. I completed seven films with him during the lockdown. We put a lot of effort while working together."

Selfiee is helmed by Raj Mehta. The film is produced by Dharma Productions. Emraan Hashmi & Akshay Kumar will be seen sharing the screen space for the first time, which has also increased the buzz of the film. The film also features Diana Penty & Nushrratt Bharuccha. It is all set to release in the theatres on February 24, 2023.
