The month of August truly seems to be owned by Taapsee Pannu. Notably, this is her birthday month, and she is sitting on back-to-back releases. She was recently seen in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and she also has Khel Khel Mein ahead in the lineup.

In Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, she returned as Rani and earned rave reviews. It’s commendable to see her leading the romantic thriller franchise. The aura of the film was evident, as both films in the franchise were trending on Netflix.

She is also coming to theaters on this Independence Day with Khel Khel Mein. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film also stars Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal. With Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein, she has explored two different genres.

While sharing her thoughts about the same, Taapsee said, “It feels like my birthday party isn’t ending. And the gifts keep pouring in the form of love for both the films. Genres so diverse, characters diametrically different but releasing so close. Thankfully, both the characters are opposites from the outlook to the kind of women they represent. I’m overwhelmed at the response to both and loving how my most favourite month is turning out to be."

Along with Taapsee, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dilruba carries forward the casting of Vikrant Massey from the first film Haseen Dillruba. The second film introduces Sunny Kaushal as a fresh cast member.
