Actor Supriya Pathak recently opened up about her bond with daughter-in-law Mira Rajput Kapoor and said Mira never felt like an outsider after marrying her stepson Shahid Kapoor.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Supriya spoke warmly about Mira and said she became a natural part of the family from the very beginning. Praising her personality, Supriya said, “Mira is such a beautiful person, inside and out, that we never felt like she walked into our house. I think she was a part of our house.”
She added that she often jokingly tells Mira that she feels like their “missing child who has found her way back.” Because of this, Supriya said she never viewed Mira in the conventional daughter-in-law role and instead feels a close, familial bond with her.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor got married in 2015 in Delhi. Mira was only 20 years old at the time of their wedding. The couple are now parents to two children, daughter Misha and son Zain.
The Kapoor-Pathak family includes several well-known names from the film industry. Shahid’s father, Pankaj Kapur, is a respected veteran actor, while Supriya Pathak has built a celebrated career in films and television. Shahid’s mother, Neelima Azeem, is also a noted actor and classical dancer.
Supriya’s comments highlight the warm and welcoming dynamic within the family, with Mira quickly becoming an integral part of the household after her marriage to Shahid.
