Being one of the most beloved stars for his intense acting and power packed action moves, Sunny Deol is gearing up to revive his two-decade old franchise Gadar. The actor will reprise his role of Tara Singh in the upcoming sequel to the 2001 drama along with Ameesha Patel as his wife Sakeena and Utkarsh Sharma as his son Jeete in Gadar 2. Considering that Sunny has been a part of the industry for over three decades, the actor opened up about the corporatization of the movie business and how actors are enslaved by the entourage culture.

In an interview with ABP Live, Sunny Deol opened about the changing culture in the Hindi film industry and the development of the ‘entourage’ culture as he said, “As we entered the 21st century, the industry became corporatized. It’s become a game of perception, and only those who can play this game have succeeded. There’s no reality to it. Our actors have also become servants to this culture. But they’re happy, and I’m not bad-mouthing anybody, but this is what it is.” He continued, “They’re surrounded by an entourage, they have 10 people making decisions on their behalf. People are losing their individuality.”

However, the actor also expressed his disappointment over how other factors often overpowers the talent of acting. “But it saddens me to see youngsters entering the industry and emulating this culture. Acting is an art; it is not bodybuilding, it is not dancing, it is not doing any other stupid things…”, added Deol.

Coming to his upcoming project Gadar 2, the film marks the comeback of Anil Sharma as a director and marks the debut of Simrat Kaur Randhawa who will be seen as the love interest of Utkarsh Sharma. The film hit the theatres on August 11.
