Just recently, it seems that Soni Razdan came across a social media post that made her nostalgic about the characters she has played in the past. Needless to say, just like the actress mentioned in her post, one of her most memorable roles was in the film Gumrah which featured her in the role of a co-prisoner along with Sridevi in the action romantic film that also starred Sanjay Dutt and Anupam Kher in key roles. The powerful role of a smart prisoner, Soni had given a great performance along with Sridevi, who too was marvellous in the film. After looking at a recent post that was dedicated to the film, the actress reminisced about how she smoked cigarettes for the film whilst being pregnant.

Soni Razdan REVEALS that she smoked many cigarettes when she was pregnant with Alia Bhatt and this is the REASON!

Soni Razdan revealed on Twitter that she wasn’t aware that she was pregnant with Alia Bhatt whilst shooting for Gumrah and ended up smoking many cigarettes. One of the fans had posted about the film to which Soni responded on Twitter wherein she also reminisced the time she spent with the late superstar Sridevi. Soni said, “One of my favourite films and highly appreciated roles. Was such a pleasure to act with the incredible Sridevi. Highly cherished memories. Was also pregnant with Alia at the time and didn’t know it yet. And did that scene where I smoked soooo many cigarettes.”

For the uninitiated, Gumrah that released in 1993 also featured Rahul Roy. The film featured Sridevi as a rising singer whose career gets destroyed when she gets caught with a bag of cocaine and a die hard fan played by Sanjay Dutta comes to her rescue.
