Sonam Kapoor's romance with Anand Ahuja has always seemed straight out of a fairy tale. And as the couple marks their sixth wedding anniversary, the actress didn't hold back in expressing her adoration for her husband. Taking to social media, Sonam shared a touching tribute to the man who has been her constant support and pillar of strength. Through a collection of never-before-seen photos and videos, she painted a picture of their journey together, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In her emotional post, Sonam wrote, “To the love of my life, my everything – Happy Anniversary. Your unconditional love and support are my anchor and safe place. Marrying you was the best choice I’ve ever made, and every day with you feels like heaven. I love you more than words can express. #everydayphenomenal.” Sonam, Anand, and their son Vayu are seen in the photo series having a great time together. A couple of romantic pictures show Sonam giving Anand a tight hug and the latter kissing her on the cheek.

While it's difficult to fathom a time when Sonam wasn't completely smitten with her husband, the actress did admit in a previous Filmfare interview that she wasn't originally interested in getting married or in partnerships. She only ended up going on a date with Anand's best friend because of the tactful prodding of her pals. “My friends were trying to set me up with Anand’s best friend. That’s how I met him. The first time I met Anand was while I was busy with the promotions of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015). One evening, my friends conned me into visiting a bar at the Taj. I went there quite irritated,” she said.

Sonam shared she had no interest in meeting Anand and his friends as she was not open to the idea of dating. “I remember thinking, ‘I don’t want to date anybody. I don’t believe in marriage and all this nonsense.’ But then I saw Anand and his friend. His friend was tall like me, enjoyed reading, and loved Hindi movies. He was educated and nice, but it was Anand who I found myself talking to the whole night,” she shared.

In 2018, Sonam married her longtime partner Anand in a traditional wedding in Mumbai. The couple resides in a luxurious property in Notting Hill, London, with their son Vayu.
