On Tuesday, veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media to share an official statement from Rohit Shetty Picturez, shedding light on the film's current status and requesting the media to avoid premature star cast announcements. The statement issued by Rohit Shetty Picturez stated, “There have many speculations doing rounds about the star cast in Rohit Shetty's next directorial, Singham Again. The film is currently in pre-production. We kindly request the media to refrain from making any premature announcements at this stage. We will be making an official star cast announcement soon.”

While there have been speculations regarding the star cast, the production house's official statement aimed to curb any misleading information until they are ready to unveil the confirmed lineup.

Earlier, a source revealed to Bollywood Hungama that the film was indeed facing some challenges in finalizing the star cast after Vicky Kaushal couldn’t do the film. However, Rohit Shetty and the team remain dedicated to ensuring the project's success, and an official announcement will be made once everything is set in place. The source stated, “Vicky Kaushal was very keen to do a front-footed mass film for Rohit Shetty and had even decided on his look for Singham Again. However, the dates of shooting for Singham Again are clashing with the shooting dates of Chhava. He has a certain look from the period era in Chavva and that can't be replicated in a modern film like Singham Again. After making all attempts to set things up for Singham Again, he couldn't and informed his decision to Rohit Shetty. Being a thorough professional, Rohit too understood his plight.”

Meanwhile, Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone in key roles.
