Shekhar Suman attended the launch of his talk show ‘Shekhar Tonite’ at a multiplex in Mumbai in the presence of his son and creator of the show, Adhyayan Suman, and producer Dharmesh Sangani. Shekhar’s TV shows have been very memorable and he spoke about them. He also opened up on the recent trend of youngsters resorting to using cuss words to sell their content and raise laughs.
Shekhar Suman said, “Earlier, we were living our lives without gaali-galoch. Good, clean films and shows were also being made. The generation of today, also called Gen Z, is doing a great job. However, they feel that they need to compulsorily abuse. They feel it's cool to abuse. I guess it's fun and something new and even rebellious for them.”
Shekhar continued, “But I’d like to tell them that gaaliyon ke bagair bhi unka content bahut accha hai. Toh woh gaaliyon ki baisakhiyon pe chalne ki koshish na karein. They should not try to cross the boundaries of our culture. Also, audiences tend to support them when they abuse. We need to raise our voices against it. It has an ill effect on our society. You may be watching it all alone on your phone, yet it is having a negative effect on your psyche. They’ll realize when they speak with honesty and use clean language, they’ll feel very light and content in their hearts.”
Shekhar Suman revealed that Nitin Gadkari will be one of the guests on the show. He also hinted at inviting an auto rickshaw driver as a guest. He further revealed that he decided to air the show on YouTube and not on any TV channel so that he gets the freedom to plan and execute the show as per his wishes.
