Shahid Kapoor looks ‘dangerous’ in the action-packed poster of Bloody Daddy : Bollywood News

The Ali Abbas Zafar and Shahid Kapoor project, Bloody Daddy has been in the pipeline for quite some time now. The film, which is expected to be an adrenaline-pumping action entertainer, is said to be a remake of the French movie Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Nights – 2011). And now, the makers have unveiled the poster of it and have also asked fans of the actor to eagerly await the teaser.

Readers would be aware that the film was announced over two years ago, and while portions of it was put on hold due to the actor’s other work commitments including Farzi, the actor had resumed the shoot of the same last year. Coming to the recently released poster, it features Shahid Kapoor in a close-up look, well-suited but it showcases elements of violence as the actor’s face is filled with bruises, cuts and his collar has turned red with blood, indicating the ample action moviegoers can expect from the film. The poster was dropped by the actor, a few hours ago, on social media, saying, “Teaser dropping BLOODY soon.”

Talking about the title of the film, a source had confirmed the details to Bollywood Hungama earlier and had also given us a glimpse of the plotline saying, "As of now, Ali and the team is calling it Bloody Daddy. The action saga has Shahid playing a father who tries to save his child and involves a lot of blood and gore, so the title suits the film."

The source had elaborated on the story, adding, “The 2011 action thriller revolved around the life of a cop whose connection with the underworld comes out in the open when they try to steal drugs from a powerful drug lord, leaving his child's life in danger. How he saves his child forms the rest of the story. Here, mostly, Shahid will play the cop who tries to save his daughter who gets kidnapped following his tryst with a gangster or drug lord. The film has been altered a bit keeping the Indian mind-set in place."

Earlier it was being said that the film will release on OTT but details of the same continue to be under wraps. The teaser date too is yet to be revealed.
