Every time Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar collaborated on a film, they have given box office successes and magical love stories. Although they have been collaborating as co-producers, it’s been a while since they did a film together just as an actor- director. The last full-fledged film they did was My Name is Khan in 2010. SRK also had a special appearance in Karan’s last directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016.
At the press conference for his upcoming co-production Ittefaq on Monday, Shah Rukh Khan was asked when can the fans expect them to collaborate on a film again. To this, SRK responded, “We discuss a lot of stories and ideas but we have not held on to anything as yet.”
Talking about this production venture, Karan Johar also added, “Shah Rukh Khan and I are not only best friends and families, we are collaborators too.”
Then, SRK also addressed the fallout rumours with Karan Johar and cleared the air by saying, “I have never had a problem with Karan Johar. Will always love him.” SRK further added, “I have seen several shades of love with Karan from friends to brothers to some another level.”
On the work front, Karan Johar’s Dharma Production along with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and BR Chopra’s BR Films has collaborated as co-producers on Ittefaq. The film starring Sonakshi Sinha, Sidharth Malhotra, Akshaye Khanna is set to release on November 3.
