A few days ago, a Twitterati shared a couple of pictures of his meeting with Shah Rukh Khan. In the caption, he revealed that the superstar agreed to meet him and his friends at 2 AM at night. Within no time, the post about the Pathaan star broke the internet and many lauded him for his kind and humble nature. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh often conducts #AskSRK sessions and interacts with his fans on Twitter. When asked how he managed to make time for his fans from his hectic schedule, the actor recalled an incident that made him a “people’s person.”
In a video released by the producers, Yash Raj Films, SRK asserted, “Many years ago, I was once driving a car in Delhi. And I think I saw Mr Shatrughan Sinha in a car next to mine. I had nothing to do with films [at that time]. I think I was in school or maybe college. When I saw him, he looked like someone I knew. And I took it so personally, to say hi. And he was going slow and he looked at me and said hey. It was very kind, and he smiled. He always says ‘Apna’. I didn't think I'd be an actor. But once I became an actor, and when I realised when people see me, I also started assuming that they think of me as their ‘Apna’. And they come with ‘Apna Shah Rukh’. They may not know me, they may not even like me, and I may not even be their favourite star.”
He went on to explain that if a father introduces him as his favourite star to his kid, that father should not be disappointed in front of his son. He further added, “I think it's just my way of also showing gratitude. And I think it's my way of letting everyone know that the fact that you think I'm your own is not untrue. I am your own. You know, I don't know if I'll see them again. I don't know if we'll ever cross paths again.”
Concluding his take on the same. King Khan said, “And as an entertainer, your job is to make everyone smile when they come in touch with you, whether it's professionally or personally. So if somebody meets me somewhere in between, which is not personal or professional, I think it's your job to make sure that if they met Shah Rukh or any actor it was good meeting him. I should have entertained them for those five seconds.”
Coming to Pathaan, besides him, the spy-thriller also stars Deepika Padukone, Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia. It is slated to release on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
