Shah Rukh Khan hails Arjun Tendulkar’s IPL debut against KKR in a heartfelt tweet : Bollywood News

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is not just a cricket tournament, it's an extravaganza of cricket, entertainment, and glamour. In fact, the latest edition of IPL played between 10 teams representing different cities in India, has already captured the imagination of the country's sports fans. Among many others, the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), enjoys a massive fan following. However, their last match, which was with Mumbai Indians (MI), was not so happening for fans.

Though MI defeated KKR, it was a matter of joy and happiness for SRK as the match marked the debut of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar. A day after the match, on Monday, Shah Rukh took to his verified Twitter handle and lauded Arjun’s debut on the field. He tweeted, “As competitive as this IPL may be… but when you see a friend's son, Arjun Tendulkar, take the field, it is a matter of such happiness and joy. Wish Arjun all the best and Sachin Tendulkar, what a proud moment!! Wow!"

Reacting to King Khan’s tweet, a user exclaimed, “can't wait to see his performance!” Meanwhile, another Twitter user wrote, “True sportsman”. Another user commented, “Wow, I didn't expect this... In this world of negativity, it's so good to see everyone congratulating Sachin on Arjun's debut.” One of the responses in the comments section read, “Winning hearts once again.”

Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Shah Rukh was not spotted at Sunday's match. It was held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, and his daughter Suhana Khan was seen cheering for KKR in the stadium along with her brother AbRam Khan.
