Actor Salman Khan recently congratulated Preity Zinta after her team Punjab Kings secured a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. His post came two days after the match but quickly drew attention from fans online.
Taking to social media, Salman wrote, “Well done Zinta. Congratulations Zinta. Team is playing well... @realpreityzinta.” Soon after the actor shared the message, users began responding with playful references linking the moment to his popular Tiger franchise. Many pointed out that the congratulatory post came years after an older tweet by Salman resurfaced in which he had earlier asked whether Zinta’s team had won.

One user commented, “Tiger Zinda Hai, but Tiger Zinta Hai is the real blockbuster sequel after 12 years.” Another wrote, “Tiger ko zinta ki chinta hai.” A third user added, “Tiger Zinta tha, Tiger Zinta hai, Tiger Zinta rahega. It's a trilogy.”
Several others reacted by noting the actor’s continued support for the franchise. “Salman Khan still supports Punjab Kings,” read one comment. Another user wrote, “This sequel can break all box office records.”
Salman Khan and Preity Zinta have shared a long professional association over the years, having appeared together in films such as Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa, Jaan-E-Mann and Heroes.
On the work front, Salman will next be seen in Maatrubhumi, which was earlier titled 2020 Galwan Valley clash–inspired project Battle of Galwan. The film also stars Chitrangda Singh and is now expected to release in August after missing its earlier April 17 release window.
