After her debut in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Shikara (2020) and later featuring alongside Akshay Kumar in Raksha Bandhan in 2022, Sadia Khateeb is set to return to theatres with an intriguing role. Promising to make a powerful impact, the actress will be next seen in The Diplomat, which is touted to be a high-stakes political thriller led by John Abraham. As the teaser gets unveiled on social media, the actress couldn’t hold her excitement and urged audiences to watch the film.
Expressing how the project was challenging, Sadia shared, “Being part of The Diplomat is an incredible opportunity. Working alongside John Abraham and such a talented team has been a wonderful experience. My director Shivam was a dream to work with. The role challenged me in ways I never expected, and I can’t wait for the audience to see it.”
Meanwhile, Sadia, who won hearts with her performance in Shikara and later appeared in Raksha Bandhan have received appreciation for her work in the past. Now, as she steps into a more intense and commanding space with this film, the actress is looking forward to see how the audiences react to her character. As The Diplomat revolves around a crucial mission where “diplomacy wins where weapons fail,” her role is shrouded in mystery in the teaser.
Based on a true story, The Diplomat is set to deliver a thrilling cinematic experience, emphasizing that a true hero doesn’t need weapons to fight for what’s right. Directed by Shivam Nair and written by Ritesh Shah, the film is slated for release on March 7, 2025.
