The shoot for Akshay Kumar’s awaited cop film, Sooryavanshi has begun and the star along with director Rohit Shetty took to their social media to announce the beginning of the film with an amazing picture. Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty were seen posing with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and producer Karan Johar. Sooryavanshi is the third film in his cop series, the first two being Singham and Simmba.
In the still, Akshay Kumar is not dressed in a uniform and is going to play an officer from the Anti-Terrorist Squad. The actor is accompanied by three other men and one of them is Vivan Bhathena. The still looks intense and Akshay Kumar is seen donning a salt and pepper look for the film. Rohit Shetty posted the still with the caption, “No Uniforms... No Marked Cars... ANTI TERRORISM SQUAD - The GHOST department of our Police Force... SOORYAVANSHI @akshaykumar”

Sooryavanshi also stars Katrina Kaif as the leading lady of the film and Neena Gupta who will be seen playing Akshay’s mother. With such a stellar star cast, we can hardly wait for the film to release. Sooryavanshi is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and is slated to release around Christmas, this year.
