Rohan Shrestha holds a special photoshoot with Bollywood stars to raise awareness about breast cancer

As breast cancer among women has shown a rapid growth over the years, the World Health Organisation is pro-active in raising awareness about the same, its prevention and cure. At the same time, public figures have also come forward to contribute to the cause in their own ways. Celebrity photographer Rohan Shrestha recently shot a series of Bollywood celebrities in black and white, to create awareness about breast cancer. The initiative, in association with the Estée Lauder Companies, is called the White T Series.

In a recent statement, Rohan called black and white pictures ‘timeless’, adding that he tried to capture the emotions of the individuals through the pictures. The list of celebrities he clicked cancer survivor Lisa Ray as well as Sobhita Dhulipala, Sanya Malhotra, Diana Penty, Ileana D’Cruz and Yami Gautam.

‘Every 15 seconds, somewhere in the world, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. In one way or another, we’re all drawn together by this disease’ Lisa, a brave survivor, wrote on Instagram, sharing her photo from the photoshoot.

‘Simple actions in our daily lives can help bring us closer to a world without breast cancer – encourage friends & family to get yearly health check-ups, schedule an annual mammogram if 40 years or older, wear a pink ribbon in support of the cause, focus on eating healthy, attend educational events or donate money to fund critical research time,’ wrote Diana Penty.
