Richa Chadha has time and again expressed her support in spreading awareness for many right causes. She has always been vocal about her thoughts through her social media as well as interviews. After penning her thoughts on #MeToo campaign online, she has now come forward to help with a peace-making initiative of the Indian Army.
This initiative called ‘Sadbhavana’ helps in creating an atmosphere of peace in the face of insurgency in Assam by stressing on the education of the girl child. Members of the NGO also help relocate people displaced due to insurgency and assist them with basic necessities in their daily lives.
As a part of the initiative, 20 school girls from Assam came to Mumbai to meet a Bollywood personality and one amongst them they chose was Richa Chadha. The actress too agreed to help them without hesitation. She not only spent time with the girls at an Army Officers Institute in Mumbai but also interacted with them and shared a few words of encouragement.
When asked Richa about the same, she said, “I always love interacting with people, I love people and in this case, the girls were so innocent and hopeful about the future that it was a pleasure to spend time with them.”
Talking about her films, Richa Chadha is currently gearing up to return as Bholi Punjaban, in the sequel to the comic caper Fukrey, Fukrey Returns. The film, that also stars Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, is slated to release on December 15.
