There's one thing Ranveer Singh knows is how to stand out in the crowd. Be it his choice of roles or his fashion statement on red carpets, the actor is known for his out of the box looks. Readers may recall that for Ram Leela, Ranveer had grown his hair and donned a moustache. For Bajirao Mastani, he went bald and donned a Maharashtrian look.
Now, Ranveer Singh is once again collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Padmavati in which will be seen as an anti-hero, Alauddin Khilji. For the role, he has undergone rigirously training to play the ruler and will be seen in a new look. We got an opportunity catch a glimpse of his new look at the recent Umang Festival which is organized every year to honour the services provided by Mumbai Police to the citizens.
Ranveer Singh went for an intense dark look wearing a black draped kurta by designer Shantanu & Nikhil. Adding a shawl with a leather belt, his look grabbed eyeballs. The dense beard with the blackest shade of kohl (surma) to his eyes won him brownie points. He was styled by his all-time favourite, Nitasha Gaurav. It seems like this was just a tease for what fans can expect from his Alauddin Khilji look.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor and is slated to release on November 17, 2017.
