Arjun Kapoor has recently started the promotions of his upcoming thriller, India’s Most Wanted. The movie revolves around 5 men who are ready to lay down their lives for the nation and have a brilliant plan to catch hold of India’s most wanted man. The fact that this group of men is ready to catch him without any recognition is commendable. With the movie’s plot and the current Lok Sabha Elections 2019, Bollywood Hungama in an exclusive conversation decided to address the issue with the man of the hour.
We asked him about his opinion of a certain Lok Sabha Elections contestant, Pragya Thakur who called Nathuram Godse as a patriot. Arjun said, “I think what’s being said during the elections, they will not remember what they’ve said two months later. People say things for effect; that is so sad. I think we are sitting in such a peculiar place at this point in India’s history; because of the fact that the elections are going on and that they are upon us, responsibility has gone out of the window. People just want votes, they want to sensationalise, and they just want to say things for effect; to get eyeballs to get attention. I’ve not heard anybody speak about education, health, global warming and the economy. What are they planning to do? What is their 2-3-4 year plan? I’ve not heard about this at all. The things that are being discussed are not going to benefit me in the future, these are all past issues. As a concerned citizen I’m asking if you’re thinking about global warming. How will you support our farmers, if there’s global warming then how are you going to make sure the water is being supplied to the farmers in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. We’ll all be shocked if they discuss and address these issues.”
