As the release of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is around the corner, lead stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. Recently, the duo visited Kolkata to launch the latest track, ‘Dhindhora Baje Re’.

Recalling her experience of the same, Alia, at the press conference, asserted, “We rehearsed for this song for quite some time for over a month, choreographed beautifully by Vaibhavi (Merchant) ma'am and it was not easy as the dance form is very intricate. We had that whole music piece, which we did together.”

Bhatt further added, “Vaibhavi ma'am's one instruction is that when you're not dancing together it should be do jism ek jaan. So aapko ek ke sath ek step milana hai. So, we did a lot of rehearsal for that. Speaking of energy, honestly, when dancing with Ranveer Singh, if you don't put energy in then you are not going to be looked at at all.”

She continued, “Ranveer has this thing before any take or before a shot he will always scream. He'll bring up everybody's energy on set, all the dancers, all the crowd, every technician is on some other level of energy at the end of it. So that also comes from him. He does that before every shot.”

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is slated to release on July 28. Besides Ranveer and Alia, the film also features Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra in pivotal roles.
