Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to tie the knot pretty soon. Though they are not admitting to the same, it is very much true that they have everything from the venue to their guest list all worked out. They made an appearance at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit and surprised their audience by being absolutely candid and entertaining. They revealed a lot of things about their relationship without revealing anything and floored us with their charm but on a serious note, Ranveer and Deepika spoke about the Karni Sena controversy while they shot for Padmaavat and the ruckus that was created before its release. Ranveer Singh admitted that he was genuinely provoked because of their threats of cutting off Deepika Padukone’s nose. DP on the other hand said that it was not about what they said but about what was NOT done and the fact that these miscreants thought that it was ok to do what they did as no action was taken and they almost got away with violence.
Ranveer, on the other hand, said in the summit, “I was infuriated. Saying that we’re going to cut Deepika’s nose… I was like, I am a mard yaar…(I am a man after all) You are provoking me. I was all set to respond till my team, seniors and my parents asked me to calm down. They told me ‘you’re going to make it worse and you’re going to give them exactly what they want. Don’t get into it’. Now, in the retrospect, I think I made the right choice. Because why should I say something to them… they haven’t even seen the movie? They are just a nuisance, making khokhla threats. Why should they get extra TV time on my account? And who are they? When the film came out, it was a super success and what happened to them… they fell off the face of the earth”.
Guess this was the most mature way of dealing with things and at the end Padmaavat and the entire cast and crew emerged victorious.
