While a brief press conference was hosted post her ramp-walk, Rakul received a lot of love from the media, who were curious to know more about her post-marital bliss since this was her first fashion show post her marriage with Jackky Bhagnani.

In one such interaction with NDTV, Rakul Preet Singh opened up about how marriage is a big deal in our country but with changing times, the pressure of dressing up as a ‘new bride’ has reduced considerably. The actress stressed on how it is a matter of choice and added, “I have been very, very blessed with both my family and Jackky’s family. I think we in Indian society make a big deal about marriage, and I would like to say that it is a natural process in anyone’s life. Will you ask a guy to dress a certain way after marriage? Like ‘Office tum bilkul chandni wala kapde pehen ke jana (Will you wear a shimmery outfit to your office)’. No, right? Times have changed, and everyone does whatever they like.”

For the unversed, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani dived right into work after they tied the knot on February 21, even skipping their honeymoon to wrap up with their promotional commitments.

Speaking of their wedding, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani got married as per the Punjabi and Sindhi rituals on February 21 against the beachy backdrop of the lawn in ITC Grand, Goa. The couple also hosted a series of pre-wedding celebrations which included the Mehendi, Sangeet, Haldi, and even a cocktail bash for their friends, family, and other special guests who attended the ceremonies.
