Shah Rukh Khan, the Baadshah of Bollywood, has numerous fans. His compassion and friendliness have been praised by both his fans and his co-stars. Veteran actor Pramod Pathak recently discussed his experience of working with Khan in Raees and claimed that, despite his celebrity status, Khan's entire emphasis was on the work at hand.
Pramod Pathak collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on Rahul Dholakia's Raees. In the film, he played Gujarat's Chief Minister. During a recent chat on the AR Discovery Podcast, the veteran actor discussed his experience of working on the film. He recalls giving 3-4 screen tests for the role before being cast.
Pramod complimented King Khan, claiming that he expected Shah Rukh Khan to behave like a superstar. He said, “But he is a very simple man. He comes on set in his character. His only focus is on his work.”
He went on to say that the actor never behaved like a star. The actor admitted that they frequently talked if they enjoyed each other's scenes. The Raees co-star stated that it was easy to work with him because he would accept suggestions while also sharing his views. He further added, “He didn’t have any ego or star attitude. It was just like two characters are working together.”
The Mirzapur actor explained that they weren't conversing much off-set. Instead, they would prepare their scenes prior to filming and then rehearse. Pathak acknowledged being aware that some people might feel intimidated by King Khan's superstar status, but he did not experience this. The sessions with the superstar went quite smoothly.
Raees starred Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film was released during the 2017 Republic Day weekend.
