Priyanka Chopra Jonas credits her family’s support in balancing work and parenting : Bollywood News

In a recent interview, Priyanka Chopra Jonas discussed her daughter Malti Marie Chopra's visit to India and how she enjoyed eating paneer (cottage cheese). The actor also mentioned that her mother, Madhu Chopra, and mother-in-law, Denise Jonas, took care of Malti when she is away. According to Priyanka, this support allows her and her husband, singer Nick Jonas, to concentrate on their work.

During an interview on ABC's The View, Priyanka acknowledged that the birth of Malti caused her to re-evaluate her priorities in life. She said, “Definitely. I was really grateful that she happened to me at a time where I had the ability to put a pin in it. Not everyone has the ability to say that 'Hey I won't go to work' or take a year off but I did. I took a year off and I'm someone who has done four movies a year because I'm greedy. I don't want anyone else to do the job just in case I don't get it again. I still have that energy. But when she came there's nothing else matters. She is my honing signal. Wherever I go I have to come back home. She is with me everywhere. She is in New York right now which means my mother schlepped everywhere.”

Priyanka also stated that she cannot leave for work unless someone from the family is present with Malti. She further mentioned that her mother-in-law loves taking care of Malti and was doing so while she was being interviewed. Priyanka acknowledged the tremendous support she and her husband receive from both their mothers, which enables them to focus on their careers.

Priyanka and Nick Jonas had revealed that their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was born through surrogacy in January last year, but they chose not to reveal her face for an entire year. However, earlier this year, Malti made her debut public appearance when she accompanied Priyanka to the Jonas Brothers' Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

Apart from this, Priyanka is receiving rave reviews for her Amazon Prime series Citadel. It is produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO and showrunner David Weil. Alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, the 6-episode series features Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville in pivotal roles. She also has Heads of State and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in her pipeline.
