Prithviraj Trailer Launch: Akshay Kumar advises debutant Manushi Chhillar to do 4 films a year 4 : Bollywood News

The trailer of Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj was unveiled earlier today. The grand trailer launch event at YRF studios was also attended by director and writer Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi and lead actress Manushi Chhillar who also makes her debut with the film. The former Miss World will be portraying the role of Princess Sanyogita in the historical drama.

It has been a long wait for Manushi. The release of her debut film was delayed by the pandemic. Talking about the same at the trailer launch, she said, “When I set foot in the industry, people told me that the most useful virtue will be patience and that I have experienced it in the last one and a half years. Definitely, I required a lot of patience. I was very excited and we have all worked so hard on this film. It was a first for me to work on a film set and watch it translate on screen.”

She added, “There was a pandemic and everyone was suffering. I cannot alone complain. But yes, on an individual level I was really, really waiting. Since it was my first film, the wait seemed longer.”

Interrupting her, Akshay said, “This is why I suggest that you do 4 films a year”.

“My parents are my biggest support system. My mother would tell me, 'You are you and you have done xyz things in your life. Tomorrow, if you end up doing only two films and you are where you are today, we will still be proud of you. We are happy.’ They said to be happy and not try to control things that are beyond your control. I think that’s what I have tried to do,” Manushi added.

As for the film, Prithviraj is a historical drama with Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt in the pivotal roles of Chand Vardai and Kaka Kanha respectively. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi Prithviraj, is set to release on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
