On the 93rd birth anniversary of Lata Mangeshkar, PM Narendra Modi paid a heartfelt tribute. 

In a heartfelt tribute to the legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a moment to remember her on her birth anniversary. Lata Mangeshkar, fondly known as the 'Nightingale of India,' has left an indelible mark on the Indian music industry with her timeless melodies and soul-stirring vocals.

PM Modi, known for his eloquent messages, expressed his deep admiration for the late singer on a digital platform. He wrote, "Remembering Lata Didi on her birth anniversary. Her contribution to Indian music spans decades, creating an everlasting impact. Her soulful renditions evoked deep emotions and will forever hold a special place in our culture."

Born on September 28, 1929, Lata Mangeshkar's influence on Indian music is immeasurable. She sang songs in over 36 languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Assamese, Punjabi, and English.

Her melodious voice resonated in every corner of the country, enchanting hearts and creating magic that continues to endure. From the hauntingly beautiful 'Aayega Aanewaala' from the movie Mahal to the timeless 'Lag Ja Gale' from Woh Kaun Thi? and the enchanting 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya' from 'Mughal-E-Azam,' her songs have ruled the hearts of generations.

She was also the first Indian playback singer to perform at the renowned Royal Albert Hall in London, England, in 1974, solidifying her international acclaim. 

The Nightingale of India bid her final adieu on February 6 last year after battling a multi-organ failure.
