Pavitra Rishta 2 to stream this Ganesh Chathurthi; Ekta Kapoor takes blessing from Ganpati Bappa for new beginnings 2 : Bollywood News

With the trend of popular shows coming back with their sequels, Pavitra Rishta 2 has become the most anticipated of all. The show originally featured late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the main lead alongside Ankita Lokhande. In the second season, actress Ankita Lokhande is reprising her role as Archana while Shaheer Sheikh has stepped in to play the iconic character of Manav.

As the fans are eagerly waiting for the show to launch, Ekta Kapoor took to her Instagram and dropped a teaser hinting at the launch date. Ekta shared a video in which the logo of the second season was also revealed which reads as "Pavitra Rishta; It's never too late".

The video began with the Ganesh Chathurthi celebration that happened on the sets of the show playing in chronological order from 2009 to 2014. It also takes viewers back to the very beginning of its first season which aired on television from June 1st, 2009. The video also featured the show’s journey over the years and visuals of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput playing Manav and then of Hiten Tejwani stepping into his shoes. It also had written "the pure relationship which was immensely loved" and "That pure relationship will have new beginnings now". In the end, it was revealed that the show will stream from September 2021 this Ganesh Chathurthi.

Pavitra Rishta was one of the most popular shows in the history of Indian Television. Both Manav and Archana played by Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande became household names with it. It was back in July 2021 when Ekta Kapoor announced the sequel to treat the audience again and as a tribute to Sushant. While Shaheer Sheikh who has stepped in to play Manav also paid a tribute a heartfelt post to the late actor and said it was difficult for him to play the role which had Sushant's original essence.
