Alia Bhatt had a great debut with Student Of The Year in 2012. All was going good but then she appeared on the popular TV Show ‘Koffee With Karan’. Here, she faltered big time when she was asked who the President of India is. Instead of saying Pranab Mukherjee, she blurted out the name of Prithviraj Chavan, who was the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra. As expected, social media exploded over this faux pas. This was also a time when Alia had just done Student Of The Year in which she was seen in a glamorous role. It was assumed that she was a beauty-with-no-brains girl. However, Alia Bhatt then did Highway, an intense love story. Her powerhouse performance took everyone by surprise. Later, she did films like Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi etc and hence, audiences saw her in a new light.
However, looks like she has yet again done a factual error. In a video posted by Elle, Alia Bhatt is seen congratulating the magazine’s 21st anniversary. While congratulating them, Alia Bhatt, who also appears in Elle’s anniversary edition, says that ‘You guys are legal now’! If she means that 21 is the age when one turns adult and of legal age, then we guess she’s wrong for sure as it’s the age of 18 when one gets ‘legal’. She further says that in some countries, the legal age is 25 which again is incorrect and too far-fetched.
On the film front, Alia Bhatt is shooting for Raazi, co-starring Vicky Kaushal and directed by Meghna Gulzar. She’ll then begin work on Abhishek Varman’s next with Varun Dhawan and in the ambitious VFX-heavy film Brahmastra, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
