In 2018, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had a grand destination wedding in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace. The couple got married as per the Hindu and Christian traditions. It included days of celebrations before and after the main wedding day. However, amid these happy moments there was a time when Nick found his bride in a pool of blood. Priyanka Chopra revealed this in her recently released memoir Unfinished.

Talking about the incident in her book, Priyanka Chopra said that in her excitement she danced her way to the shower and stepped on a sharp, two-inch piece of wood on the morning of November 30, 2018. PC said that her dance came to a halt in the palatial bathroom when she stepped on the wood sticking out of the old plank floor. It was a small spike that passed through her heel and buried itself there.

The actress could not make it to the door and sank to the floor. She called out for her longtime assistant, Chanchal D'Souza. Chanchal attended to Priyanka who asked her to call Nick who was taking a shower in another bathroom.

Divulging further details about the incident, Priyanka said that Chanchal was screaming at that time and Nick was standing in a T-shirt with a towel wrapped around his waist. She remarked that it would have been a funny scenario had it not been so painful. Nick put on a pair of shorts and held Priyanka's foot steady while she doused it in perfume and then he pulled out the spear with a pair of tweezers.
