Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: Actor Suniel Shetty visited the revered Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Wednesday to offer prayers, marking his second visit to the shrine within a span of about 20 days. The actor sought blessings for his family and for the continued run of his recent film.
Interacting briefly with the media after the darshan, Shetty reflected on the unexpected nature of his return. “I never thought I would come back here again in just 20 days,” he said, describing the visit as personally meaningful. He added that he prayed not only for his loved ones but also for the well-being and good health of everyone.
Referring to his film, he said, “Our film Border has been released, and it’s doing very well… My goal is always to continue doing the right work.” The actor maintained that his focus remains on meaningful projects and steady work rather than celebrations.
Speaking about his earlier visit, Shetty explained, “Today, I offered prayers at Mahakal Temple and prayed for the well-being of my family. In addition, Border 2, a film based on soldiers, is being released, so I wished for its success. My son also acted in the film, so I sought Lord Mahakal’s blessings for its success.”
Border 2, which features Ahan Shetty along with other actors, recently released in theatres and has been drawing audience attention. The film, set against a military backdrop, marks another significant project for the Shetty family, with Ahan continuing to build his career in the industry.
The Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva, frequently receives visits from public figures seeking blessings for personal and professional milestones. Shetty’s visit comes during the film’s theatrical run and reflects a moment of gratitude and prayer rather than a formal promotional event.
While keeping his remarks brief, the actor emphasized faith, family and consistent work as priorities, underscoring the personal significance of the temple visit amid ongoing professional commitments.
