Besides Karishma Tanna and Harman Baweja, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub has also impressed the audience with his performance in Scoop. While talking about the success of Scoop, Zeeshan reflected on his journey so far. He stated that his roles are regularly reduced because insecure stars felt he was out-performing them.

Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub reveals his roles are regularly cut down; says, “It feels equally bad each time”

It all happened during his conversation with Siddharth Kanan. He expressed disappointment over unfulfilled promises in projects, including a lack of individual posters and reduced roles overshadowing co-stars. Zeeshan also confessed that he feels that his characters have been betrayed due to broken promises and aims to negotiate for a “special appearance” credit to address the issue.

“You’ll know it when you see it, you’ll wonder how I could have agreed to this project,” asserted the Zero actor. He further added, “This has happened to me, it has happened often, and it has happened majorly,” in Hindi.

Ayyub acknowledges the issue of insecure stars having their lines edited to prevent scene-stealing, echoing actor Arshad Warsi's recent statement. He confirms experiencing a similar situation. He went on to explain, “It’s in the past, but I’ve had to deal with it. So often, in rehearsals, they can tell if I’m running away with the scene, and when you see the script the next day, the entire character graph has been changed.”

He added, “Sometimes, you get this shock after the edit when you’re watching the film at a screening. And you realise that scenes have been cut, the camera is no longer on you, and the movie cuts to the next scene where you had a good line. This has happened a lot, and on some level, I’ve gotten used to it. But yes, it feels equally bad each time.”

Despite facing challenges in his career, Ayyub remains content with the positive response from audiences and critics regarding his performances. He expresses gratitude for being recognized for his acting skills, even if his films receive mixed reviews.
