My passion for music is well known, and sometimes I wonder how a lyric writer thinks. When this song was composed, I fell in love with its Sufi spirit. I suggested the first line as a “dummy” line for the composition to be completed. That night I wondered how to take the thought forward, and who to approach for lyrics. I fell asleep deeply surrounded by the melody. When I switched on my phone in the morning, I realized I had already written the song in my sleep! Must have “sleep written” it.”
