Dia Mirza overcomes fear of riding a bike at 40 for Dhak Dhak; says, “I knew I had no excuses now” : Bollywood News

Bollywood actress Dia Mirza recently shared a heartwarming story about conquering her fears and fulfilling a childhood dream. She revealed that her upcoming film project Dhak Dhak provided the perfect opportunity for her to learn to ride a bike, a skill she had long wished to acquire.

Reminiscing about her childhood, Dia recounted how she used to hold on tightly to her father as he rode his bike. The feeling of the wind on her face during those rides ignited a deep desire within her to learn to ride a bike herself. However, her fears held her back for years. Dia candidly shared, “As a child, I would hold my father tight as he rode his bike and feel the wind in my face and dream of riding a bike someday. But somehow my fears didn’t allow me to take the chance and learn to ride… and when I was offered to be a part of Dhak Dhak my heart was bursting with joy! I knew I had no excuses now. I would finally get to live my dream. I learnt how to ride a bike at the age of 40 and become a part of this epic journey from Delhi to Khardungla! I can’t wait for people to watch this movie and discover the sheer joy that it is.”

Dia is now eagerly awaiting the release of her upcoming movie, where her newfound skill and the incredible journey she undertook will be showcased. She hopes that audiences will be inspired by her story of conquering fears and pursuing one's dreams, no matter their age.

Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Outsider Films, in association with BLM Pictures, Dhak Dhak is directed by Tarun Dudeja and co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja. The film will hit theatres on October 13, 2023.
