Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has laughed off reports that claim his net worth is close to Rs. 170 crores. The 54-year-old actor, who is known for his work in films such as Aligarh and Bhonsle, joked that he is “still struggling” to get some money in his bank account.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Bajpayee said that he has never prioritised money when it comes to choosing projects. He said that he is always looking for "rich content-driven stories" and that he is not interested in making money by doing "commercial films".

"Making that sort of money is impossible with the kind of work that I do," Bajpayee said. "I am still struggling to get some money into my kitty." The actor also said that he has never said yes to a project because of the money involved. "That's because I can't do it," he said. "If that had been in my mind, I would have done it 25 years ago, when I was far younger."

The Family Man actor said that he is content with his work and that he is not interested in "basking in the past glory". He said that he is always looking for new challenges and that he is excited to start shooting for the third season of The Family Man in November this year.

Coming to the professional front, Bajpayee was last seen in Sirf EK Bandaa Kaafi Hai, which was directly released on OTT. The film went on to garner a positive response. It is streaming on ZEE5.
