Alia Bhatt is arguably the most credible actress in her age group and a force to reckon with at the box office. While interacting with Filmfare she opened about how Sridevi’s death affected her and left her devastated. She said, “Her passing away was devastating for me, like it was for everyone. I was in a restaurant when I heard the news. After that I just couldn’t eat. I broke down and couldn’t stop crying.” She added, “What an impact she had on people! She was always so warm and lovely. kind of turnout on the streets during her last rites… she went like a goddess! That was heart-warming.”
For those who don’t know Sridevi often acknowledged Alia as an amazing actress and did not leave a single opportunity to watch her work. Sridevi passed away in Dubai by drowning accidentally in a bathtub and not just Alia but the whole world was shell shocked by this. Sri was given a state funeral in Mumbai and was sent off like a true blue Queen. The nation mourned for her death and thronged streets of Mumbai to bid her goodbye.
