Kartik Aaryan's journey into his next film Chandu Champion is nothing short of a blockbuster plot twist, comparable to a superhero's origin story. To play Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist, the actor underwent a dramatic physical change. Kartik has resumed his usual gym regimen after undergoing tough workouts and food changes for the part. Though back to his usual routine, Kartik's ‘Champion Mentality’ persists. He recently shared an Instagram video showcasing his pull-up prowess, with an impressive 15kg weight plate adding an extra layer of difficulty.

The film Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan, tells the narrative of a sportsman's resilience and determination. Kartik Aaryan takes on the character of Chandu. The film is about Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold champion in freestyle swimming.

For those unfamiliar, this is Kartik Aaryan's first collaboration with director Kabir Khan.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan was last seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha, which also starred Kiara Advani. Last year, he appeared as a cameo in Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. He is also working on an untitled project with Karan Johar.

The actor made his Bollywood debut in Luv Ranjan's 2011 film Pyaar Ka Punchnama and has since appeared in films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Luka Chuppi, Guest Inn London, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, among others. He also appears in Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal 2.
