2022 was indeed eventful for actor Kartik Aaryan, from giving one of the highest grosser of the year (Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2) to impressing the audience with his performance in Freddy. Kartik has set a benchmark for himself. Ahead of the new year, the actor recalls the performance of his two films this year while sharing what are his expectations.

In a conversation with News18, Kartik briefly spoke about the success of Freddy. He asserted, “I’m just loving it and enjoying every bit of it. Freddy is doing wonders. I’m so glad that this is happening and the fact that we could end the year with a bang.”

Elaborating further, Aaryan added, “Freddy ended on an open-ended note and I think a lot of people liked that. The idea was that the audience should keep wondering if he was nabbed by the police or what happens to him in general. This film is the origin story of Freddy. It traces his journey and how and why he became the person that he did. Whether he gets punished for his doings or he becomes a serial offender remains unanswered.”

As his conversation with the portal progressed further he stated that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a significant addition to the commercial successes that he has witnessed throughout the course of his career. He also believes that these kinds of choices will shape and redefine his trajectory in the coming years. In his words, the actor says, “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luke Chuppi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and now Freddy have been fruitful experiences and they’ve given me so much. I want to create a legacy for myself. I want people to watch each of my films and say, ‘Iske siva koi aur nahi kar sakta tha.’ I want my films to age well,” he asserts.

Coming to the professional front, as mentioned above, the 32-year-old actor has a bunch of projects in his kitty, including Shehzada, Satya Prem Ki Katha and an untitled film, which will be directed by Kabir Khan.
