Film director and producer Karan Johar’s “decorous” gentleman’s party for Bolywood A-listers is the most talked about event of the day. It saw some of the crème-de-la-crème of the Indian film industry dressed at its best.

Hrithik Roshan and his former wife Sussanne Khan walked into the event with their love interests. For the first time, Sussanne Khan and her boyfriend Arslan Goni, and Hrithik and his new girlfriend Saba Azad were present at the same venue. The two couples even exchanged pleasantries and the ex-spouses seemed comfortable in one another’s company.

Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor were also present but did not bring their wives along. Deepika Padukone is currently a jury member in Cannes Film Festival. Alia Bhatt, meanwhile is working on her first Hollywood film.

Another Bollywood power couple - Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal were seen having a great time with their industry friends. “Katrina and Vicky seem happy together,” star guests and sources told Bollywood Hungama.

Ranbir Kapoor entered the party with his mother Neetu Kapoor and spent most of the evening with her, and the two made for an entertaining duo at the event. Ranbir Kapoor is currently promoting his mother’s forthcoming release Jug Jugg Jeeyo. He was heard recommending it to anyone he came across during the KJo’s glam party.

Kajol was also at the party but entered alone. Karan’s 50^th birthday party saw Kajol’s cousin Rani Mukerjee at the event too at the YRF studios, that belongs to Aditya Chopra. According to sources, Karan had specially requested Aditya Chopra to drop in for a few minutes.

The surprise guest of the night was Salman Khan as he unexpectedly came in to join the celebrations of Karan Johar’s birthday party. However, it seemed like he did not see eye-to-eye with Katrina Kaif all evening.

Summing up the tides of enjoyment at Karan’s birthday a star-guest and source said, “It was a routine celebration. All of Karan’s friends were there. Karan became quite emotional when he saw the turn-out.”
