Last week was family time where many Bollywood celebrities took time out to spend with their loved ones and enjoy the festivities of Diwali. Amongst them were also biggies like Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and the Bachchans who partied together. It seems that the friend squad decided to meet over the weekend and spend some quality time with each other, albeit with their mothers.

It seems that the get-together was of the mommies and their children wherein they spent some fun moments together. Sharing about their weekend shenanigans on Instagram, Karan Johar posted this picture which also has his mother Hiroo Johar, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Jaya Bachchan, Zoya Akhtar and Honey Irani, Gauri Khan with mother Savita Chhibber, Kaajal Anand and her mother.

The filmmaker loves his share of selfies and captured moments that more often than not find their way to social media. Karan Johar has always confessed his love for Instagram and besides him, Gauri Khan, just like her hubby Shah Rukh Khan, likes the social networking platform too. While Gauri reposted the picture shared by Karan on Instagram, the others too including Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Zoya Akhtar shared a similar picture from the evening as their Instagram story.

Speaking of the Diwali celebrations, Karan attended couple of bashes during the festive season, one of which also included his bestie Shah Rukh Khan’s bash. The superstar had thrown a party to ring in the birthday and kick off the Diwali celebrations too.

Coming to the work front, Karan Johar is currently enjoying hosting Koffee With Karan which has returned with its sixth season. Zoya Akhtar is busy with Gully Boy featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt which is in the post production stage. On the other hand, Gauri Khan is busy handling her entrepreneurial ventures and she recently designed the home of actor Sidharth Malhotra.
