Karan Johar took to social media on December 12, 2025, to congratulate his longtime friend Manish Malhotra on the release of Saali Mohabbat, the designer’s second production venture under Stage5 Productions. Malhotra made his debut as a producer just weeks ago with Gustaakh Ishq, starring Fatima Sana Shaikh, which hit theatres on November 28.
Sharing a note for Malhotra, Karan wrote, “Congratulations to you @manishmalhotra05!! Hitting it out of the park with beautiful and cinematic content back to back… speaks of high quality, dipping into multiple genres and raising the bar! This film is so so juicy and riveting… can’t wait for everyone to watch it.”
Saali Mohabbat, which was released today directly on Zee5, marks the directorial debut of actress Tisca Chopra. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios), Dinesh Malhotra and Manish Malhotra (Stage5 Productions). Set against a sharp, atmospheric backdrop, the story delves into the darker zones of love, loyalty and deception.
The film features a strong ensemble cast led by Radhika Apte, Divyenndu Sharma and Anurag Kashyap, along with Anshumaan Pushkar, Sauraseni Maitra and Sharat Saxena. The narrative brings together characters whose relationships unravel in unpredictable ways, making space for a layered, character-driven thriller.
