Amidst the ongoing controversy about the Hindi language debate and the statement made by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu about his Bollywood debut, Kangana Ranaut has stated her opinion during Dhaakad promotions. Not too long ago, the actress had spoken about making Sanskrit as our national language, during the Ajay Devgn – Kichcha Sudeep language row. Now, the Manikarnika actress has come out in support of Mahesh Babu and agreed that Bollywood can’t afford him.

In a recent statement Kangana stated that what Mahesh Babu said was right. She went on to add about how she has seen the Telugu superstar receive several offers from filmmakers. She also maintained that his generation of actors have made the Telugu industry, number one industry in the country which is the reason why Bollywood can’t afford him.

Further talking about the development of the Telugu industry, Kangana Ranaut reminisced about how the industry was nothing a few years ago and how these actors have worked hard for over a decade to get where they are. Comparing it with the Tamil industry, the Dhaakad actress also asserted that they have left the Tamil industry behind.

Earlier reports saw Boney Kapoor, Ram Gopal Varma and Suniel Shetty stating their respective opinions regarding the debate. The controversy started when Mahesh Babu responded about when he would be seen making a Bollywood debut during the trailer launch of the film Major. He had said that he has been approached by many Bollywood filmmakers for films but he doesn’t think they can afford him. He went on to add that he is happy in the Telugu industry and that he is very glad to see it going to places.

Speaking of Dhaakad, the film, co-starring Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta and Saswata Chatterjee in pivotal roles, is expected to release on May 20, 2022.
