Kangana Ranaut's debut production film Tiku Weds Sheru starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur will be released on Amazon Prime Video soon. Nawazuddin and Avneet's casting has once again shed spotlight on the debate around huge age gap between male and female actors. In this scenario, the two are 27 years apart in age, with Nawazuddin being 47 and Avneet being 20. Kangana Ranaut does not think it's a big deal.

Kangana Ranaut addressed the subject with reporters at the Tiku Weds Sheru wrap party last week. The 34-year-old producer claimed she was warned not to cast Nawazuddin and Avneet together, but she thought it worked for the storyline. “Mujhe sab ne bahut warn kiya tha iske against, chahe joh bhi age gap hai ya joh bhi hai, yeh meri story ko suit karta hai (I was warned against casting them together but whatever the age gap might be, it suits my story),” said Kangana.
The actress went on to say that the chemistry between her and R Madhavan in Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel Tanu Weds Manu Returns was due to their coupling and mutual understanding. She said, “So it was my belief that Avneet is the right person for this film. With Nawaz sir, uski Jodi bahut badi hit rahegi, this is my feeling. But let’s see, baaki toh aap logon ke haath mein hai (Her pairing with Nawaz sir will be a big hit, this is my feeling. The rest is in the audience’s hands).”
Kangana Ranaut is all set to make her digital debut as producer with the upcoming film Tiku Weds Sheru, a love story and a satire. Kangana dives into web space with her production house Manikarnika Films.
