Jugal Hansraj says he got cast in Aa Gale Lag Jaa six days before the shoot, after Saif Ali Khan walked out : Bollywood News

Actor Jugal Hansraj turns 49 today. He made his screen debut at the age of 10 with the film Masoom. However, he got his big break with the film Aa Gale Lag Jaa at the age of 21. Recently, talking to a leading news portal, he revealed that he was not the first choice for the film.

Jugal revealed that between the age of 18 to 21, he signed two films with Manmohan Desai and Pahlaj Nihalani, but they were not starting. He did Loha in 1987 as a child actor with producer Salim Akhtar who called him up and said that they were shooting for a film at Filmistaan Studio in six days. The makers had parted ways with Saif Ali Khan due to some issues. He said that songs and everything were ready and the makers wanted to sign him as the lead actor. Jugal said that he was shocked and asked for a couple of hours to talk to his parents before he signed the contract. In the next six days, Jugal Hansraj gave his first shot with Paresh Rawal.

Aa Gale Lag Jaa paired Jugal Hansraj opposite Urmila Matondkar. Jugal had played her brother in the film Masoom earlier.
