On Monday evening, actor and music composer Jugal Hansaraj took to his Instagram handle to confirm that he had indeed composed the ‘mukhda’ of the title song of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which is fondly remembered and cherished even after 22 years.

Not only did Jugal inform his followers that he had composed the mukhda but also sang the 'mukhda' with lyrics he had originally written. "22 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. People always ask if it’s true that I composed the melody of the ‘mukhda’ of the title track of KKHH. Yes indeed, I did compose the melody! I’m very happy that my tune is remembered so fondly by so many people. So by popular demand, here it is. Swipe left for the tune with the lyrics that I had written. Jugal Hansraj is remembered for his role in Mohabbatein and Salaam Namaste. He also directed the 2008 film Roadside Romeo which won the National Award for Best Animated Film.
