Is the 2015 Kingfisher Calendar in jeopardy?

Each year the unveiling of the Kingfisher Calendar is a much talked about event. With various celebrities gracing the launch, the starry sojourn is one of the biggest glam events of the year. Besides the launch event, the calendar shoot, the locations and the models also perk the audience's attention. However, rumours have it that the 2015 calendar seems to have run into a bit of trouble with the king of good times' owner Vijay Mallya's flagship airways taking a serious hit. In fact,rumour is that the next installment of the calendar, unlike the previous years, will be a highly muted affair, with exotic locations giving way to an indoor studio shoot, while the launch party itself will also be toned down.

Bollywood Hungama decided to verify if the calendar will truly be undergoing cost cutting maneuver. "No, this is utter rubbish, the calendar is well underway and will be true to its image that has developed over the years", says a source close to the shoot. Further adding, "It's surprising to hear such rumours, especially when we have already had a meeting on the same and have also locked the shoot locations."

As for the exact destinations where ace photographer Atul Kasbekar will be shooting, the source adds, "This year the locations will be in the northern hemisphere, though at this point, we cannot reveal the exact location. The shoot is expected to kick off from October 10. And once shot, we as usual will be having a launch party just like the previous years."

"The whole talk of the calendar being affected is baseless. Even if Kingfisher Airlines has been hit, the calendar is the property of the breweries division, and that has been growing steadily," adds the source on a concluding note.
