“I find it really amazing that some pictures of my film, with me, which I had put with a certain hashtag, it’s amazing how some connection is found with some other film and completely blown out of proportion,” stated Deepika Padukone at an event in Mumbai today. Deepika was referring to the poster of Bajirao Mastani that she posted on her Instagram account on July 15 with a hashtag #ChallengeAccepted. She later deleted that post. It was being rumored that the ‘challenge accepted’ was with regards to Dilwale announcing December 18 as the release date which is same as her film. There was a news article doing the rounds since the last couple of days inferring how Shah Rukh Khan is upset with Padukone, the girl whom he launched in Om Shanti Om.
“I don’t think any of these articles will ever come in the way of my equation with Shah Rukh Khan. What equation he and I share is known to us. It is very, very special. None of these articles will come in between that. Ironically, while everyone must have been reading that article, Shah Rukh messaged me and congratulated me about my foundation (‘Live, Laugh, Love’) because I launched the logo of my foundation yesterday. He was actually one of the first people whom I spoke to when I was thinking of setting it up. He has always been very, very encouraging and supportive,” Deepika added with a smile.
Deepika also said that the theatrical trailer of Imtiaz Ali‘s Tamasha opposite Ranbir Kapoor should be out “in a month or so”. She says that the response to the images of Tamasha has been extremely positive. Deepika Padukone also dismissed the rumours about doing a film with Hrithik Roshan for Yash Raj Films.
