In the caption, Roshan described the joy he feels watching his children grow into the people they are becoming. However, he also reflected on how parental pride can sometimes become tied to accomplishments, creating what he called a “vicious cycle” where love appears conditional on performance.

The actor wrote that he wanted to remind himself — and perhaps other parents — that his love for his children is not dependent on what they achieve. “No matter how great my pride is, it cannot for a second compete with my love for you,” he wrote, adding that they are “enough” simply for who they are.

The 52-year-old actor also encouraged his sons to embrace every aspect of life, including failure. In his note, he said he hoped they would experience “spectacular failures” and fully feel every emotion that comes with being human — from joy and connection to loneliness and loss. According to the actor, the true purpose is not necessarily success or meaning but the experience itself.

The post resonated with many in the film industry. Actor Dia Mirza commented that she wished more fathers shared the same perspective, writing that the world would be a kinder place if they did. Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty responded with heart emojis, while Roshan’s former wife Sussanne Khan praised the note and suggested that he should write a book dedicated to fatherhood.

On the professional front, Roshan was last seen in War 2, which also starred Kiara Advani and N. T. Rama Rao Jr.. The film received a mixed response at the box office. Since then, the actor has yet to formally announce his next acting project.

He is, however, associated with several upcoming ventures. Roshan will make his directorial debut with Krrish 4, the next instalment in the popular franchise. He is also backing a project titled Storm under his production banner. In addition, the actor has partnered with Hombale Films — the studio behind KGF and Kantara — for an ambitious pan-India film announced in May 2025.
