We all know the kind of impact of cricket in our country. The recent selection of the Indian Cricket team for the World Cup 2019 was met with mixed responses as some felt that they could have added some better players in the team. While that being said, some others were thrilled to see the names of their favourite players on the list. Amidst the one with opinions was also veteran actor Rishi Kapoor who expressed his opinion in a rather quirky manner on Twitter.
It is a known fact that Rishi Kapoor is quite active on social media. Despite him being unwell and undergoing treatment, the actor is also updated on matters and never shies away from expressing his opinion on the said platforms. And this time around too, the actor wanted to speak about the Indian cricket team under the captaincy of Virat Kohli which was selected for the World Cup 2019.
The recent tweet shared by Rishi Kapoor about the cricket team had him making a quirky comment about all the players sporting facial hair. He also compared them to one of the last judges of the ancient Israelities, Samson from the Book of Judges in the Hebrew Bible. Sharing a blurred picture of these cricketers, he said, “Don’t take this picture as a reference point but why do most of our cricket players sport full facial hair(beards)? All Samson’s?(remember he had his strength in his hair) Surely they look smart and dashing without it. Just an observation!”

As mentioned before, Rishi Kapoor has been unwell and has taken a break from his work commitments. His wife Neetu Kapoor is currently in the U.S. accompanying him for the treatment he has been undergoing there. While they have retained silence on the illness, the family has been assuring every one of his recouping health.
